So what parts is Big John after?

Has Bad Doug's parts stash been put on alert?  :D

What is the plan for now to keep the weather out?

Or I could point you in the right direction of a whole garden and associated sheds full of scrap, it's in the Edinburgh area  ::)

Engine is seized,
Doing the normal stuff, duck oil and diesel in the bores, fresh oil into the top etc

Have you tried flushing through with a hose pipe 1st , most things for flushing water system want the engine running up too temp.
What engine is it?

Two and a quarter petrol
I'm thinking on a possible seized waterpump as most bits seem to be an issue

If it is the water pump that is seized, remove (cut) the fan belt and try turning the crank.
If still not turning then probably the rings have rusted to the bores.
I have had success in the past by popping the head off, cleaning up the accessible bores as much as possible, heating engine oil up to almost smoking hot and pouring it into the bores, let the heat soak in for a bit and try rocking the crank back and forward.
If that don't free it, then your looking at pulling the sump off and dismantling till you find what is stuck.
A gasket set is not that expensive and at least you will know what state the inside of the engine is.

Give the cooling system a though flushing with the hose, both with the flow and reverse.
Open/remove the tap on the side of the block and clean out the crud up there till you can get a good flow of water out.
Are any of the core plugs suspect? If so have them out and use the access to get the crud out before replacing them.

If you can get the engine to run then dishwasher tablets qty 2 in the cooling system run for a goodly bit and then a good flushing with the hose (try not to flood next doors garden again  :o).
There are various descaleing agents for wet central heating systems you could use a well / instead of the dishwasher tablets

For the cooling system try taking off thermostat housing and blocking off the bottom outlet & the heater outlet & return. Fill with boiling water with some dishwasher tablets in. Let it stand for about 15 mins then back flush through the bottom outlet then repeat.
As far as seized bores are concerned, warm diesel and two stroke oil down the bores with the head off. Leave to stand until some of it has gone past the piston then twat the piston using a piece of oak (other hardwoods are available) as a drift. Ultimately you can't really make it any worse. At best it will need new rings and honing, at worst it will need a reborn & new pistons.
