Yes, I took it for a day out (there was a four bit of interest) but no it didn't get to go on a cab tour.
The kids did however get to have one, and youngest daughter was hanging on his every word being shown round Green Arrow.
She was even more excited when tonight's bedtime story featured said Locomotive and Thomas the Tank engine.

I took some photos of it on the chassis tonight.

So, after a trip out in the wild -where it attracted a lot of positive attention- it's 95% finished with a few little additions to make before final paint and dressing.

Sucess with the bulkhead has however been tempered some by the sudden expirey of the gearbox in my 110 this morning.
It's timing could have been better, but such is life.

"...and something else which would be of interest to you.
I somehow forgot to take any photos of it out in the wild though."

You took the Bulkhead for a day out?
Did it get to go on one of Bad Doug's cab tours?

It isn't.
There were a few parts on site for it though, and something else which would be of interest to you.
I somehow forgot to take any photos of it out in the wild though.

Looks like you all had a great time!

Couldn't make it as I was driving in a trial that I managed to come dead last in (Ho-Hum).

Is that the Prof's Florence sneaking into the nice picture of an Austin Tipsy ?

Thank you very much to everyone for coming to Brass Monkeys at the Station today. I am very happy indeed to announce that we managed 123 Land Rovers of all types and 1 Austin Gypsy! We have also raised £61.62 for the Great North Air Ambulance and I am confident the museum donations and Cafe takings will be significantly higher than the average Sunday in January! I have thoroughly enjoyed the day and I hope you all have too. I look forward to seeing you all next year for an even bigger and better Brass Monkeys!
Thanks to CCL for sending over a convoy.  The support is appreciated!

Hi all,
We are now less than a week away from the do this Sunday.
We have convoys coming from all over, with interest from lots of different groups.
It would be great to see as many of you as possible.
If anyone requires any more information let me know, but once again the details are:

Shildon "Locomotion" NRM
Shildon
DL4 2RE

Turn up from 10am
Fantastic free entry museum once you get sick of Land Rovers or the cold.
Cracking gift shop and café etc.

I am hoping to top 100 Land Rovers this time so bring your friend(s)!

Cheers

Quick note it is 10:15 start not 10am.
Quote from NERO
"The following Sunday is our Brass Monkey Land Rover Gathering at the Railway Museum, Shildon.  We might top 75 Land Rovers this year!  Please come along in any Land Rover you may have.  Following the entrance all of the way into the front of the museum.  Do not follow signs for parking as that is located away from the station.

Please come along any time from 10.15am."

Who's actually going?
We could convoy it
It's a 10am start over there so it's about a hour from my house
That's probably a half eight from Penrith etc
Who's up for it?
It's a good doo for those who haven't been before
Plenty of stuff to do except Landrovers as well
