Hello folks. My name is Graham and I live in Maryport, and found out about CCLR from Derek, who posted yesterday about meeting me and my Classic RR. MFWIC as we call him (look it up on Google, the name seemed to suit him) is a 1995 soft dash 300tdi. I would love to say that I have lovingly restored him over the last few years but I didn't. Only owned him for a month but already coming around to the idea that he was a good buy, I hope, fingers crossed. If asked if he is beluga black or java black I just say yes as he is a bit of both. Will sort that and the dents, and the headlights and the loose headlining when I get time. It isn't that he has a load of dents, but they are spread out very fairly with each panel having at least one. MFWIC is our seventh Land Rover. It all started with a disco 300tdi, then another, then a 90C, then a disco TD5, then another 90C, then a Series 2a and last but not least, the RR classic. We are sad, as we give them all names! Just scrapped LLoyd (the TD5) but the engine lives on in my mates disco TD5. Farmer(our first 90C) is stripped to the chassis. Archer (our second 90C) will hopefully be back on the road in September and Rosie (the series2a) is a full ground up rebuild that's progressing very slowly. Other family members are my wife Gill, who is going to be using Archer, our oldest son Matthew who loves everything Land Rover and ran Farmer and LLoyd for a while (and will run Rosie when she is back up and running) and last but not least our youngest lad, Edward, who is yet to come over to the dark side! Not keen on bling of any kind, daft mods that look awful and/or don't serve a purpose or changing things just for the sake of it. That said, quite happy with any mods, (even on older vehicles that clash with their originality), but only if it makes them better/safer/more enjoyable/easier to live with etc. As well as the Land Rover addiction I enjoy a bit of photography, building and flying model aircraft (have done since I was eight), and recently have been involved in building and flying multicopters. Looking forward to meeting up with CCLR members at the Beehive as soon as we can and also the greenlaning and runs out etc.
